Documents required for family/friends visit visa

-  Original Passports with 6 months validity from the date of travel. Have at least 2 blank pages. Old Passports if any.

-  Visa Application Form.

-  2 Photos 35 X 45mm, white background, matt finish 80% face cover. The photograph must show your eyes, ears, Forehead.

-  Cover letter: explaining the purpose of the trip, personal and passports details with itinerary detailed location(s) and duration of stay in Austria.

-  Air Tickets.

-  Travel Insurance.

-  Income Tax / Form 16 for last 3 years.

-  Salary slips for last 3 months.- If employed.

-  Original Leave approval letter from Employed / School/ College. (If Employed or Student).

-  School / College Bonafide letter or ID card copy.

-  Company registration proof. e.g Shop Act, MOA, Partnership deed etc - If Self Employed.

-  Retirement Proof - If retired.

-  Original Bank statements for last 3 or 6 months with healthy and sufficient balance.

-  Minor travellers:
(a) a minor accompanied by one parent shall provide an Original notarized NOC by the other parent, plus copies of parents passports or ID
(b) a minor travelling alone shall provide an Original notarized NOC by both parents / legal guardians, plus copies of parents passports or ID.

Documents from Austria if Invited by Friends/Family:
 

-  Passport & Visa copies.

-  Invitation letter.

-  The electronic letter of guarantee of sponsor - “EVE - Elektronische Verpflichtungserklärung” obtained by the sponsor at the competent „Fremdenpolizeibehörde“ of the sponsor’s district in Austria.

-  Financial Documents: Bank statements, Salary slips if sponsoring.

Documents required for a Student/Internship/research Visa

-  Original Passports with 6 months validity from the date of travel. Have at least 2 blank pages. Old Passports if any.

-  Visa Application Form.

-  2 Photos 35 X 45mm, white background, matt finish 80% face cover. The photograph must show your eyes, ears, Forehead.

-  Cover letter: explaining the purpose of the trip, personal and passports details with itinerary detailed location(s) and duration of stay in Austria.

-  Air Tickets

-  Travel Insurance.

-  Confirmation of present student status e.g. original letter from school/ college/ university, student card, certificates etc.

-  Certificate of admission or registration at an educational institute for the purpose of attending academic or vocational courses, or cover letter from the host company.

-  Evidence of payment of tuition fee or acceptance of scholarship for the intended studies in Austria OR Proof of sufficient funds to cover overall cost of living during the probable duration of study in Austria OR Electronic letter of guarantee of sponsor - “EVE - Elektronische Verpflichtungserklärung”  obtained by the sponsor at the competent „Fremdenpolizeibehörde“ of the sponsor’s district in Austria (if applicable).

-  Proof of accommodation in Austria or letter of acceptance at the school’s / college’s / university’s dormitory.

Documents required for Business Visa

-  Original Passports with 6 months validity from the date of travel. Have at least 2 blank pages. Old Passports if any.

-  Visa Application Form.

-  2 Photos 35 X 45mm, white background, matt finish 80% face cover. The photograph must show your eyes, ears, Forehead.

-  Cover letter explaining the purpose of the trip and business relation with the Austrian business partner (letter must confirm the identity of applicant, place and period of intended stay).

-  Invitation letter from the Austrian Company mentioning the details of the meeting, the applicant.
(If asked by the embassy - Electronic letter of guarantee - “EVE” or “GVE” - Elektronische Verpflichtungserklärung” or Generalverpflichtungserklärung (to be obtained from the Austrian business with the competent „Fremdenpolizeibehörde“ at the appropriate regional office in Austria (if applicable) or in case of GVE at the Austrian Ministry of Interior. 

-  In case the purpose of travel is other than business meetings (training, voluntary work or project work etc.): Permission by the Austrian Labor Market Authority “AMS”(Entsendebewilligung, Anzeigebestätigung) to be obtained by the inviting Austrian company.

-  Hotel reservation.

-  Air Tickets.

-  Travel Insurance.

-  Income Tax / Form 16 for last 3 years.
